Maria Beattie is one of the UK's leading harpists, with a varied career spanning every style of music from classical to pop. Her originality and versatility has helped to establish a reputation as a harpist of exceptional accomplishment, always very much in demand both at home and abroad.

After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music, where she studied with Sidonie Goossens and David Watkins, Maria went on to the National Centre for Orchestral Studies to further develop her considerable talent. Now her busy schedule includes regular South Bank orchestral appearances, performances with the Ulster Orchestra, west end shows of the calibre of High Society, Phantom of the Opera and Kiss Me Kate and her many commitments as a soloist. Maria has also appeared on many commercial recordings as well as radio and television broadcasts.
